I am currently a Doctor of Physical Therapy licensed in the state of New Jersey. I had moved back down to Galloway, NJ after graduating from graduate school, and I am currently the lead physical therapist at Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy in Galloway (Smithville)!
What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
During my freshman year at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ, I was blessed to be able to meet my fiancé/future husband, Ryan Sobelman, who lived upstairs from me in P building! We’ve been there for each other through our academic journey at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ and I am forever grateful for that. I definitely don’t think I would be where I am today had it not been for meeting him at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ!
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
Graduating from PT school and passing my boards exam has been one of my proudest professional and personal accomplishments. ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ helped to shape me into the person I am today both personally and academically. I have been able to utilize my study techniques, consistency and accountability from my time at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ, carrying it over into my graduate school career and even using it in my now day-to-day work routine.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
My current work is exactly what I had dreamed of for years. I am able to help my patients get stronger and teach them about their bodies, injuries, and the importance of physical therapy for their personal and lifelong goals. Although the grad school experience was extensive and stressful, it is most definitely very rewarding.
How do you stay connected with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Being that I still work near the campus, my companies has very close ties with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s PT program and pre-PT club! We allow students in ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s program to shadow the clinic throughout their semesters to ask any questions about our job as well as observe how we work in the clinic! It is very convenient for the students as we are so close to campus. Additionally, our company is involved with networking with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ’s PT program, hosting events that allow the students to interact with the PTs and get a better understanding of our company and our career.
What is something people may not know about you?
I love to travel, but I do not enjoy being on airplanes due to motion sickness.
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Get involved and make connections! It may not seem that significant, but joining clubs, participating in recreational activities, and connecting with people is the best way to get yourself out there, figure out your interests, and meet people who may help guide you through some of your most challenging times! ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ has many clubs and recreational groups/sports - some that you would never think of, and they have so many benefits for your personal, social and professional career!

What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
Rhiannon Napoli and Penny Dugan (The Personal Essay). Rio was a mentor to me from the day of Honors orientation on. Penny had an entire class dedicated to being your authentic self. I knew more about my classmates than many of my friends. The rapport she helped us establish was something I have never experienced.
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
Bring chosen as a Young Altruistic Professional for my work with foster children. ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ and Tridelta always showed me service over self.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
I work with high school students. I've been there for 10 years. I love being a part of their journey and developing a rapport with them. Many have gone to ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ. I'd also love to come back and work with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ students.
How do you stay connected with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Alumni events, donating annually, family events like Maple Project and AC Art Garage.
What is something people may not know about you?
I was on Nickelodeon once.
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Take opportunities, make connections, be kind. You will learn so much about yourself here.

What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
Tom Kinsella, Ken Thompkins, Emari DiGiorgio and Pam Cross made ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ feel like home—their courses challenged me and their leadership inspired me!
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
I am a published poet who is always seeking to improve my writing. The inspiration and motivation to do this would not be within me if not for the creativeminds in the LITT department.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
Aside from writing, music has been a deep passion. To work in the music dept now is fulfilling. Much of my work is communication, and my writing skills gained at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ prove themselves every day! It’s so cool to sit at my desk and hear all sorts of music floating up from classrooms.

Social media, Murphy Writing, alumni events, and my fellow ospreys.
What is something people may not know about you?
I am a proud Alto, and just performed with 100 high school alumni for my choral director’s retirement concert.
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Take in all that ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ offers—the classes, the people, the campuses. It’s a unique place to be for all the right reasons.

I work on the hype team for the New Jersey Devils, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Brooklyn Nets. My responsibilities include fan engagement through promotions and giveaways as well as energizing the crowds with high energy.
What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
My last semester of my senior year I took a course called Leadership, Strategy, & Change taught by Dr. Frank Rudnesky. Really cool guy who teaches you life skills that transcend the classroom and apply to everyday situations. I still keep in touch with him today.
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
Truthfully just getting all the sports jobs I’ve been blessed with. My goal graduating ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ was to work for one of my favorite teams. Today, I work for most of my favorite teams and it was always a dream I had not only at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ but dating back to high school. ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ helped me with that from the professors I had and the clubs I was in, most notably comedy club where I was president for my junior and senior year. The club encouraged me to be fearless and outgoing and I took that and ran with it. The various teams I work for now seemed to like my outgoing personality when I interviewed with them and I can credit the ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ comedy club for that.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
I love being in the sports and entertainment industry, especially in such a front-facing role where I’m on camera a lot and interacting with fans. Getting to know their story and how they became a fan is interesting. There are thousands of cool people in this world to meet and I always keep an open mind and try to be welcoming when I cross paths with someone new. Seeing the smile on people’s faces when I throw them a t-shirt or pick them as the lucky winning row is a very fulfilling feeling.
How do you stay connected with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Primarily through my friends and a few professors I still talk to today. I also check out the Instagram page from time to time to see any new updates. It’s really tremendous to see the growth of the University dating back to my freshman year.
What is something people may not know about you?
I want to write and publish a memoir about my life one day. I believe I have enough interesting, emotional, funny, and insightful stories about being a dreamer and some lessons I’ve learned along the way regarding failure, fear, and chasing your dreams..
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Join a lot of clubs that pique your interests and find a friend group who elevates you both emotionally and career-wise. My fondest memories of ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ are all tied to the impact I had on campus and the large handful of close friends I made on the journey.

Marketing Manager, CSL Consulting - One woman team focusing on proposal management and all marketing efforts for an Owner’s Project Management firm.
What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
Hannah Ueno and Dr. Shen are absolutely amazing and both were my preceptors. I talk about them a lot to this day and feel so lucky to have learned from them.
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
I landed my first marketing role 5 days after I graduated because of my senior exhibition show for my visual arts degree.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
I appreciate that I’m still using both degrees in my current position and throughout my career.

What is something people may not know about you?
I was an admissions ambassador from 2007-2011 and as far as I’m concerned, I still am! I talk about ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ all the time.
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Immerse yourself in your program, the campus and meeting people that you will stay in touch with years after you graduate which is also a plus for networking!

I work for South State Inc. and I am a Project Manager. I work with the construction crews to organize projects and ensure they run smoothly. I work specifically in utilities and do all pipe work.
What person, course, or moment most influenced your ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ experience? How?
Coach Maguire of the ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ Mens Rowing Team influenced me most. He kept me going when things got tough and I worked closely alongside of him as the captain of the team. I and one other person were on the team we he started and we built the program to where it is now.
What is your proudest professional or personal accomplishment that occurred after graduating in which ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ played a role?
I am proud to say that thanks to ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ's dual degree program, over the span of 5 years I possess 2 bachelor of science degrees. These 2 degrees helped me to stick a job I really wanted to be offered.
What do you like about the work you are doing now? Describe your career path.
I like being around construction. My background of work had me around a lot of different construction jobs and I knew I wanted to do that. I am able to use my math degree to do quick calculations for jobs and I can use my engineering degree to understand how to read the plans and problem solve. My job is challenging but it allows me to do what I love.
How do you stay connected with ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
My girlfriend is going into the ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ DPT program so I go with her sometimes to campus just to visit. Along with this I still follow ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ Social Media and I keep in touch with the men's rowing team and follow their progress.
What is something people may not know about you?
I come off at first glance as a big tough guy but when you get to know me I am a kind and gentle soul.
What advice do you have for current students who want to make the most out of their experience at ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ?
Get involved. I was on the Rowing team which was a full time committment and along with this I was a residential assistant. Because of this I was able to network with many people and always know what was happening on campus. Attend events when ÒùÐÔÊÓƵ holds them because many of them are fun and gives you something to do.
