������Ƶ’s mission statement stresses a commitment to life-long learning, the development of engaged and effective citizens, and the employment of interdisciplinary approaches that prepare our students for a multicultural, interdependent world. The guiding principle of the University is “students first.”

Working with the Center, students can expect a deep dive into local area history, and to employ a wide range of skills as they help develop documentaries, exhibitions, heritage tourism, lecture series, community history gatherings, periodic symposia, tours of historic sites, and print and digital publications of new and republished titles related to the Alliance Colony and the Jewish farming experience in South Jersey.

 

Preserving History Now

These initiatives demonstrate the University’s firm commitment to Jewish history and culture—especially in South Jersey—as well as ������Ƶ’s ability to develop innovative and effective programming that has a significant impact within local communities, particularly among students.

The Alliance Heritage Center provides the mechanism to take the next step in our ongoing campaign to document, preserve, and celebrate deeply important aspects of local and American history. It presents myriad robust opportunities for students, community members, researchers, indeed a worldwide audience, to study and engage with this rich American story.
