FAQs
If you anticipate a refund from Financial Aid for the semester in which you apply for the loan, the loan amount will be repaid from the proceeds if refund disbursement has not yet occured. Please be mindful of refund disbursement dates.
If no refund is anticipated, you will be responsible to pay the balance to the Bursar's Office within 45 days of receipt of the emergency loan.
If the balance is not paid in full within 45 days, your account will be subject to a late fee and/or a HOLD will be placed on your account, making you ineligible for registration and receipt of other official University documents.
In most cases, students who apply while there are less than 45 days remaining in the current semester should be registered for the subsequent term to be eligible.
Approved loans must be retrieved from CC-243 unless you have Direct Deposit established with the university prior to applying.
Direct deposit can be set up in-person at the Bursar's Office.
Please allow at least three business days after applying for direct deposit to be elligible to receive your loan via direct deposit.
With the exception of holidays/university closings, disbursement is completed on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, so your funds will be available as early as Tuesday or Thursday afternoon. You will receive specific timeline information if approved.
With some exceptions, the following schedule is typically followed:
| Application Received | Anticipated Disbursement |
| Wednesday after 3:30PM - Monday before 3:30PM | Tuesday |
| Monday after 3:30PM - Wednesday before 3:30PM | Thursday |
